Beef ularthiyathu / Beef chukka / Beef kurumilakittathu

for marination:
beef - half kg
coriander powder - 2 tsp
chilli powder - half tsp
turmeric powder - half tsp
cumin powder - half tsp ( optional)
garam masala - quarter tsp
ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
green chilli - 2
curry leaves - few
oil - 2 tsp
salt - to taste

for sauteing:
coconut oil - 1 -2 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
onion chopped - 100 gm
ginger finely chopped - 1- 2 tsp
green chilli chopped - 2 or broken red chilli - 2
finely chopped coconut pieces - 2 tbsp
black pepper powder - 1-2 tsp
curry leaves - few.

Steps to follow:
Marinate the beef with the ingredients mentioned above and keep aside for half an hour.

Transfer the marinated beef to the pressure cooker add half cup water  and cook for 10- 15 minutes.

Switch off and after pressure released open.

 Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when it splutters add chopped green chilli or dried chilli or both.

 Then add chopped onion and chopped coconut pieces and stir well.
Here I forget to add coconut pieces. You add and saute well.

 Add chopped ginger and curry leaves.
 Saute again.
 Then transfer the cooked beef.
 Saute  till all the water absorbs.
 Add pepper powder and stir well.

 Garnish with chopped coriander (optional) and serve hot.
 Delicious beef ularthiyathu is ready to serve.

i dot eat beef.. but this recipe is looking so yum .. i shall try with mutton
