ripened tomatoes - 600 gm
dates - 200 gm
sugar - 400 gm
ghee - 50 ml
cardamom (powder )- 4 or 1/4 tsp
cashew - 50 gm
raisins - 2 tbsp
salt - pinch to taste.
Steps to follow:
Wash and boil the tomatoes in hot water for few minutes.
Carefully remove the skin and blend it nicely and keep aside.
Remove the seeds and finely chop the dates and keep it aside.
In a vessel transfer the blended tomatoes and let it boil till raw smell goes.
Add sugar, allow it to dissolve, then add cardamom powder and mix well.
and add the chopped dates to it.
Let it cook for few minutes in low flame.
Then heat pan add ghee, roast cashews and raisins to golden brown and immediately transfer to the tomato dates sweet.
Mix and serve warm or at room temperature.
