Raw Onion Chutney / Vengaya Chutney / வெங்காய சட்னி

Ingredients :
big onion - 1
dry red chilli - 1
tamarind - little (to taste)
salt - to taste.

Steps to follow:

 Peel and slice the onion.

 In a mixie jar add onion, dry chilli, tamarind and salt to taste.Grind it nicely.

 Serve with hot  dosas and idlies.  This is the best combination to serve with ragi dosa too.
While serving add a spoon of gingelly oil,mix and serve.This is optional.The variation shown here is using raw onions.
