Rice- 1 cup ( 150 gm)
milk - 1 cup
thick fresh curd - 1 and half cup
salt - to taste
oil - 2 tsp
mustard urad dal - each half tsp
channa dal - 1 tsp
green chilli - 1
ginger chopped - 1 tsp
asafoetida - a big pinch
coriander leaves chopped - 1 tbsp
curry leaves - few.
Serves - 3
Cook the rice, when done mash it nicely.
Then add milk to the mashed rice and mix well.Keep aside.
When it is cool add fresh thick curd.Mix it up nicely with the rice again.Add salt and chopped coriander.Mix again.
Heat oil, add mustard,urad dal, channa dal,green chilli (cut into 3 pieces) and chopped ginger and curry leaves and asafoetida, give a quick saute and add this to the curd rice.
Mix it well. Serve it with any pickle or thovaiyal or vengaya vadagam , milagai vathal.(mor milagai).
