Sweet Ragi Porridge

Fingert millet or Ragi is one of the most popular cereal. It has highly nutritional contents like calcium and iron. Ragi contains amino acid methionine which is lacking in regular food of many people due to high consumption of starchy food. It can be consumed  once in a day either sour or sweet  porridge by entire family right from infants to adults.

milk - 1 and half cup
water - 1 cup
ragi powder - 4-5 tsp
sugar - 5 tsp
cardamom powder - pinch
ghee - 1 tsp
roasted cashews and raisins - few ( optional)

Serves - 2-3
cooking time - 10 minutes.
Steps to follow:
Pour milk and water in a heavy bottomed pan.

 Add ragi powder and mix well.

 Let it boil in a medium flame.Stir continuously for 5- 7 minutes.
Add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
 Switch off the flame.
Add 1 tsp ghee  or ghee  roasted nuts and raisins( optional)

 Yummy sweet  ragi porridge is ready. Serve warm or chilled.
