Mutton Cutlet

A delicious lamb dish, this is easy to prepare and very tasty. This cutlet is very common in Indian homes.

Ingredients:
boneless lamb - 100-150 gm
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
chilli powder &turmeric powder -each quarter tsp
medium size potato - 1
chopped coriander & mint leaves each 1 tbsp
chopped onion - 2 tbsp
chopped green chilli - 1-2
fennel powder - half tsp
garam masala - quarter tsp
egg - 1
bread crumbs - one cup
oil - to fry
salt - to taste.
Serves - 2-3.
Steps to follow:
Pressure cook the lamb pieces along with ginger garlic paste, chilli, turmeric powder and salt. Then mince the  lamb pieces and keep aside.
Boil and peel the potatoes and mash well, keep aside.
In a bowl add minced meat, mashed potato chopped onion, chopped coriander& mint leaves, chopped chilli, fennel and garam masala and salt to taste.

 Mix well.

Shape the mixture into six balls.
Beat the egg in a bowl and also keep ready the bread crumbs  in another bowl.
Dip the meat balls in egg and roll it in the bread crumbs.
Then make the balls into heart shape or oval or round shape as you desire, this is for valentine's day event so I shaped the cutlets like heart.
Heat oil in a frying pan, deep fry or shallow fry the cutlets in a medium low flame till golden brown.
Drain the excess oil in paper towel .

Serve hot or warm with tomato ketchup.
You can make the meat balls a day in advance .Cover and store in the refrigerator until needed.

Check here for my mutton cutlet recipe in a little different way.
