ready made puttu flour( or Roast red rice flour) - 1 cup
grated coconut - 3-4 tbsp
water - 50 ml
ghee to mix - 1 tsp
salt- 2 pinch
ready made idiyappam flour ( roasted raw rice flour) - 1 cup
hot water - 3oo ml
salt - 2 pinch
to grease oil /ghee - 1 tsp
To Serve need fresh coconut milk,sugar and banana.
Serves - 2 persons.
Duration - 20-30 minutes.
Puttu / Steamed rice flour
Steps to follow:
In a bowl add flour ,little salt and required water and mix well. Flour absorb the water and it becomes soft shredded flour.
Then add the flour in the greased puttu maker ,then grated coconut and then puttu flour and close the lid.
Steam it for 10 minutes.
Add flour in a bowl, little salt, boiling water and mix with a wooden spoon to make a soft but not sticky dough.
Grease the idli / idiyappam stand with little oil or ghee.
Serve with fresh coconut milk,sugar and banana.
