Mutton Kofta Curry / Kola Urundai Kuzhambu

Ingredients:
for meat balls:
minced lamb - quarter kg
chopped green chilli - 1
ginger garlic paste  -  1tsp
coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
garam masala- 1/4 tsp
roasted gram powder - 2 tbsp
salt - to taste.

for the gravy:
oil - 2 tbsp
fennel - half tsp
cinnamon,cardamom,clove - each 2 piece
chopped onion - 1
gg paste - 2 tsp
for the paste
cashewnuts - 4
grated coconut - 2 tbsp
tomato chopped - 1
chilli powder - 1 tsp
coriander powder - 2tsp
cumin powder - 1  tsp
turmeric powder - quarter tsp
&
garam masala - qurater tsp
chopped coriander - 2 tbsp

Place the minced lamb,chopped chilli, ggpaste,garam masala,chopped coriander in a blender and blend it or mix with hand nicely. Remove from the blender and  shape the mixture into small lemon size balls and refrigerate it for an hour.


For the gravy in a food processor, place  the cashewnuts,grated coconut,chopped tomato,chilli,coriander,cumin,turmeric powders and grind it to a paste.
In a pan  heat oil add fennel seeds,cinnamon.clove,cardamom and roast for 30 seconds,add chopped onion fry till golden brown, add gg paste.again stir fry it.Then add the ground paste and stir it for 2 minutes.Then add 2 cups of water.Add salt to taste.Let it boil..
Add the meat balls.let it cook for 15 -20  minutes.Close with lid.
 Add chopped coriander.

Then sprinkle the garam masala. Mix well and simmer the stove for 2 minutes and switch off.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with plain rice or pulav, naan or chappathi.
