Chicken Chukka

A simple Chicken dish, this is easy to prepare and fairly a hot stir fry dish and also an aromatic dish with a delicious, distinctive taste.
chicken - 1kg
sliced onion - 200 gm
ginger garlic paste - 3 tsp
garam masala - half tsp
turmeric powder - half tsp
chilli powder - 1 tsp
pepper powder - 1-2 tsp
cumin powder - 1 tsp
coriander powder - 3 tsp
oil -4- 5 tbsp
chopped corinader leaves -3 tbsp
salt - to taste.
Serves - 8
Clean, cut the chicken into medium size pieces.Wash thorougly and drain it.If you cut off all the skin and fat before cooking, it is healthy.

Keep the ingrediends ready.

Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel add sliced onions and saute till golden brown.Then add ginger garlic paste and stir well till the raw smell goes.

Add chicken pieces and stir well. Let the chicken pieces cook in its own juice but no need to add water.Add salt to taste.

Then add all masalas and stir well . Close the lid and cook for another 15 minutes.

When it is cooked well and dry, add the chopped coriander leaves. Now the chicken chukka is ready to serve.

Serve garnish with chopped coriander leaves.It is quite delicious with any of the rice dishes and chappathi.
