Moong Dal Fried Egg

Ingredients:
for dal preparation:
moong dal - 50 gm
chopped tomato - 2 tbsp
chopped shallots or onion big - 1 tbsp
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
salt - to taste.


for making omlette:
egg - 2
chopped onion - 3 tbsp
chopped cilantro - 1 tbsp
chopped chilli - 1
ghee - 2 tsp
pepper powder - 2 pinch
salt - to taste

for tempering:
oil - 2 tsp
mustard seeds - half tsp
curry leaves - few
dried chilli - 1
chopped onion - 1 tbsp


Steps to follow:

In a pan dry roast the moong dal just for a minute. In a pressure cooker add moong dal with 2 cups water, turmeric,chilli and cumin powder each quarter tsp,ginger garlic paste,chopped tomato,1 tbsp chopped onion and close the lid cook in a medium flame for two whistles.
Meanwhile in a bowl add 2 eggs, chopped onion 3 tbsp,one chopped chilli,chopped cilantro 1 tbsp, 2 pinch pepper powder and salt to taste.Mix well.

Heat ghee in a tawa,then pour the mixed egg and spread it, turn and cook the omlette.Cut the omlette into 8 pieces and keep aside.

Open the pressure pan add one cup hot water to cooked dal and salt to taste.Mix well.

Then for tempering the dal heat oil in pan add mustard seeds,curry leaves and red chilli,when it splutters add 1 tbsp chopped onion and fry till golden brown.Then add the cooked dal .Now plain moong dal fry is ready.
Then add the omlette pieces to the moong dal.Now the Moong Dal Fried Egg is ready.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with hot plain rice or chappathi.

This is the 1st recipe I have ever tried Asiya Akka! But never got it right,believe me! ;) will miss something or the other n it won't taste as I expected.
