Oats Vegetable Porridge

Light and tasty,this creamy,mild oats vegetable porridge is multi-purpose. It makes a wonderful warming first course and also an appetizing quick meal.This is really delicious.

Ingredients:
oats - 100 gm
water - 750 ml
boiled fresh milk - 250 ml
chopped carrot - 1
peas - quarter cup
soup cube - 2(optional)
chopped garlic cloves - 2 tbsp
chopped onion - 2 tbsp
slitted green chilli - 2
cumin - 1 tsp
fenugreek -quarter tsp
chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
salt - to taste.

Steps to Follow:
Put the fenugreek and cumin in the mixie jar and grind to a fine powder.



Soak oats in a bowl of water.

Add 750 ml water,chopped garlic,chopped onion,slitted chilli,soup cubes,carrot and peas into a heavy based pan.Needed salt is in the soup cube so no need to add salt.If you not prefer soup cubes, add salt to taste.
Bring to the boil,then add powdered cumin and fenugreek.Let the vegetables cook for five minutes.
Then add soaked oats into the pan.
Mix well and simmer the stove.
Add boiled milk into the pan and stir well.No oil is added so it is very healthy.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.Now Oats Vegetable Porridge is ready to serve.
Pour the Porridge into the individual serving bowl. Serve hot.

Serves - 2 -4.
For healthy pregnancy taking right amount of vitamins, minerals and fibres are very important.This is well balanced food.

The Oats Vegetable Porridge is actually new to me. As you have said, this is a very balanced food, light yet rich in vitamins and fibre. I'm loving this delicious porridge and sure to try it out :)
