cooked ash gourd (vellai pusani/elavan) - 1 cup
cooked cowpea( thattai payaru/vanpayar) - half cup
cooked yam( seppangkizhangu) - half cup
cumin powder - half tsp
slitted green chilli - 3
thick coconut milk - half cup
thin coconut milk -quarter - half cup
coconut oil - 2 tsp
curry leaves - few
salt - to taste.
Roast and soak the black eyed beans for 4 hours and then pressure cook for 3 whistles.Drain and keep ready.Cut and boil the ash gourd also.
Boil the yam and remove the skin and chopped it into small pieces and keep ready.
In a clay pot add cooked white gourd,cooked yam,cooked black eyed beans,cumin powder and slitted chilli.
Then add thin coconut milk and salt.Let it boil for 5 minutes.
When it thickens add few curry leaves to that.
Then add thick coconut milk.Mix well and simmer the stove.
Then add coconut oil, mix and switch off the stove.
Olan is ready to serve.
