Pachi Pulusu / Raw Rasam / Puli Milagai

tamarind - small lemon size
chopped onion - 1
chopped green chilli - 3
chopped coraiander leaves - 1tbsp
salt - to taste.

For Seasoning:
oil- 2 tsp
mustard & cumin seeds - each half tsp
fenugreek seeds - quarter tsp
dry red chillies - 2
curry leaves - few.

Soak the tamarind in a cup of water, extract and keep aside.
Add chopped onion, green chillies and salt in a bowl. Mix well with hand.

Pour tamarind water to the bowl, then add chopped coriander and mix all the ingredients together, Check salt to taste and sourness of the tamarind.

Heat oil in a small pan add mustard,cumin seeds,fenugreek,curry leaves and dried red chillies. When it splutters add it to the pachi pulusu.

Now Simply Superb Pachi Pulusu is ready to serve.

Serve it with hot plain rice.

We all go through hundreds of recipes, cook such exotic and mouth watering dishes, but once in a while, this simple Pachi pulusu can lighten our hearts and soul. this is comfort food at its best.

my dad always telling me about the kai puliyanam which was made by his mom.
As I dnt have grand parents,dont know how to make.
But it is in my mind all time.
