Bisibelabath in my own easy way.

Ingredients :
rice - 250 gms
toor dal - 125 gms
mixed vegetable - 250 gms
(such as carrot, beans, peas, brinjal, cauliflower etc..)
tomato- 1
corinader and curry leaves - few
turmeric powder - half tsp
asafoetida - quarter tsp
tamarind - a lemon size
grated coconut - half cup
sambar powder - 4 tsp
karam masala powder - half to 1 tsp according to your taste. (mix of only cinnamon-small piece,clove -3, cardamom-2)
oil - 1 tbsp
ghee - 3 tsp
mustard - 1 tsp
salt - to taste.

Cut all the vegetables in same size and keep ready.Soak the rice, toor dal and tamarind seperately.

In a pressure cooker add soaked toor dal, quarter tsp of turmeric powder with a cup of water. When it brings to boil, add soaked rice .

Add 4 cups of water and close the lid. After 4 whistle switch off the stove.

Dry roast the grated coconut and then add karam masala powder , sambar powder and roast slightly together.

In a mixie jar, add roasted items, powder it and keep aside.

In a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves,when it splutters, add asafoetida, add cut onions,vegetables, tomato and stir well. Then add tamarind extract,turmeric powder, enough salt and water and make it to boil.
Let the vegetables cook for few minutes.

Meanwhile open the pressure cooker, mash slightly the cooked dal and rice.
Then add the ground masala powder, cooked vegetables and mix it. If require, add salt to taste.

Add chopped coriander leaves and ghee over the bisibelabath. Mix well.

Now Easy Bisibelabath is ready to serve.

Serve immediately with pappads and chips.Try and Taste the Delicious Easy Bisibelapath.
When you make variety rice, you can add this bisibelabath recipe also.
